I've already demonstrated that since you cannot accurately predict the outcome of a random event, no method of picking winning lotto numbers is any better than another. But what about "other worldly" or "spiritual" methods, you ask...?

Show me one person who claims to have won because of numbers received from a psychic (or fortune cookie for that matter,) and I'll show you ten who have won simply by drawing numbers out of a hat!

The fact is, if psychics were effective in selecting winning lotto numbers, they would be winning! In fact, a LOT of people would be winning because there are a lot of psychics out there providing "winning" lotto picks.

Many of them claim that their psychic ability is a "gift" from a "higher power," and that they don't want to abuse their gift. I would suggest they win a big jackpot and give it away to the needy. I’m sure any "higher power" would appreciate having church collection plates filled to the brim.

The simple point of this chapter is this: psychics cannot select numbers any better than you can. Don't pay for their services!
